Styling Headline Presets

How would I go about changing the line color thats added when the organic headline preset is added to a headline. I’ve tried via CSS but can’t get the line to change via its parent div.

Thank you!

Hello Bryce,

Thanks for writing in!

Please click the headline element and then find the Border options in the element settings. You can find the border color in the bottom border option selector:

Hope this helps.

Where in the settings would be this field? I can’t find this is in the cornerstone template editor I’m using.

Hello @rocketboy,

Please make sure you have enabled the “Advanced Mode” as “ON”, In case if you have enabled it please go to the page or X/Pro --->Theme Options --->Click on the Hamburger menu icon--->Prefernaces --->Advanced Mode.

Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

Hope it helps

Where is advanced Mode? I’m not using Pro, I’m using Cornerstone editor.

Hi @rocketboy,

Sorry for the confusion. In your Themeco Account Dashboard, all the sites listed are with X or Pro and that is why my colleague has given you the solution. Even if you are using only Cornerstone, you can find the Advance Mode under the Cornerstone > Preferences as described by my colleague.

If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Cornerstone doesn’t work that way on my wordpress install. Its not at the location you’re showing on the left dashbar. If i go to X - Cornerstone from my left dashbar it just loads the editor.

After updating Cornerstone plugin today is also created a problem. Is there specific PHP limits that should be increased?

Thanks!

Hi @rocketboy,

I went ahead and enable the Advance Mode through the Theme Options > Preferences. The issue you are having with Cornerstone builder, might be due to the incompatibility between X and Cornerstone. I would also suggest you follow the below steps while updating the Cornerstone once again, by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone plugin from Appearance > Plugin
  2. After deletion of the Cornerstone, please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thank you for your help with both issues.

I did the steps above for the cornerstone issue. I’m only able to use cornerstone if I don’t update to 5.2.3. Using 4.2.3 I’m able to work like usual. If I update the issue comes back. Are you aware of this bug since I can’t update without breaking it?

Hello Bryce,

Please be advised that you do not need Cornerstone 5.2.3 if you are using Pro theme 4.2.3. The Cornerstone builder is already integrated with the Pro theme which is what we call the Pro Editor.

Best Regards.

I have multiple websites some running pro some just cornerstone. I’ve mentioned over and over on this post that this build is managed by x > cornerstone. So here’s my question again since pro is not being used:

No adequate help as been given with the first original task of the post.

You can see no border is present when the element is selected from this screen shot. This is how I was told to edit. Please see earlier posts for more info.

Hello Bryce,

Yes, there is no border for your top, left, and right sides.

You should be checking the BOTTOM side because that is where you can adjust the thickness and color of the bottom border.

Hope this makes sense.

That makes sense now, I apologize for the confusion.

for the other question:
This build is managed by x > cornerstone.

Hi Bryce,

Please make sure that before you update your cornerstone plugin, your X theme is updated first. I suggest that you uninstall your cornerstone plugin first to avoid any conflict, then update your X theme to the latest version and install again the cornerstone plugin.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
