Styles gone after Upgrade?

Hello,

I’ve just upgraded two sites (Wordpress, plugins and themes) which had not been upgraded since April or before.

One went well, all got upgraded correctly, and site seems to work fine.
But the other one, seems to not load styles correctly for some reason after upgrading (you can see that some text styles and menu styles seem to not load here https://www.mallorca-servicecenter.com/ )

Site Info:
Wordpress 5.2.2
X 6.5.6

Any idea what could cause this? I don’t see any errors in the logs which could point to anything.

Any suggestion or idea?

Thanks!

P.D, I can provide with admin access if required for troubleshooting.

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for whiting in!

I checked the website and inspected the same in dev tools. I don’t see any issues and error message in dev tool that suggest any problem with the website.

Can you please share some screenshot so we can have a better understanding?

Thanks.

Hello Prasant,

Thank you for your reply. As you can see in the following screenshot, the top menu looks wrong (as if no design, basically), ans the rest of the page is also “inconsistent”.

Hey Kevin,

This must be a result of version incompatibility between the latest version of X and the old version of Cornerstone. Please update Cornerstone too and make sure that you have the latest version of our products according to our Version Compatibility List.

If you’ll also see layout issues with Visual Composer, please read the solution in the FAQ section of our previous Release Note. It’s important that you always read our release notes posted in our News Archive and Changelog whenever an update is available.

If you have not enabled the Legacy X Integration option and you have updated your Visual Compose built pages, you’ll see that the X Integrated elements are now inside a VC Text Block element. Please watch the video below for the solution.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christian,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I’ve enabled Legacy X Integration, which fixed the column width and boxes, but the fonts and header menu are still not back to normal.

UPDATE

Hi, I’ve just noticed that for some reason I have two versions of Cornerstone installed:

I disabled version 2.0.1 and enabled version 3.5.5 and everything seems to be back to normal. How’s there two versions installed?

Is it save to delete 2.0.1?

Thanks!

Hi Kevin,

Yes, you could delete the older version and should be safe. But, to make sure it’s installed with correct folder (two means one of them is installed in incorrect folder) then I recommend deleting both. Then just re-install cornerstone again and that should install in correct folder.

Thanks!
