Stretch Cell when using 1fr 1fr in Grid Options

Hi there,

When using Grid in my Pro package I have the 1fr 1fr so there are two cells next to each other, however I was wondering if there was a way to make the last active cell stretch or expand to fill the rest of the grid should it be free - the screengrab might help explain what I mean.

So there are 5 cells in a 1fr 1fr Grid, meaning there is one left over, the one above - as there is space, and rather than leaving a blank white space - is it possible to make this cell just take up the rest of the Grid space?

These are my Grid settings:

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for writing to us.

Please add 1fr replacing 1fr 1fr. It will cover the rest place on the right side.

Please find the documentation of grid here.

Thanks

Thanks for this, however changing to 1fr will change all Cell’s to be full width… not just the odd end Cell as explained above.

I have read the documentation on this and cannot see this covered.

Thanks, Tom.

Hey Tom,

To make your last cell take up the rest of the Grid space, hover over your Grid element in Content Builder and click on the small purple icon in the upper-right corner of the Grid Element. Clicking on that button will enable the Cell Layout Editor:

Now click down on one of the carets of your last cell and drag it to the rest of your Grid element to resize the Cell:

Now click back on the small purple icon to disable the Cell Layout Editor. To learn more about Grid element please see https://theme.co/docs/grid#cell-layout-editor

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I knew about this method of manual layout - just wasn’t sure if there was a method of letting it do this automatically.

Thanks, Tom.
