Strange problem with shrinking header

hey there,

another problem with the header. when a user scrolls up and down and up and down and up and down… the header shrinks to a minimal size.
this problem is on mobile phones and on desktop on different systems and phones but not everytime…
it seems it is random und every device i tested…

Yes, a bit random but okay on my android. I’ll continue checking and testing but there is no temporary workaround since it’s part of the core feature. I recommend setting the shrink value back to 1 for now.

It’s also recommended not to implement sticky bar on mobiles for many reasons. It’s inactive and automatic on X standard header, but since it’s a Pro custom header, you’ll have to do it manually by displaying a different header on mobile with inactive sticky option.

thank you for your help. i will look into it for the mobiles tomorrow.
but one more thing, this behaviour is also on desktop! not only on mobiles.

is this a bug of pro? because you mentioned it is a “core feature”.
will this be fixed?

one more question: if i turn sticky bar of, is there a option to show a arrow right bottom, to scroll to top with one click?

Hi Harald,

I don’t see this issue on desktop, desktop view has no mobile menu and it shrink well. What desktop you’re testing it with? Please provide a video recording.

As for your another question, it’s an existing feature but displayed below the screen and on on header bar. It’s in Theme Options > Miscellaneous > SCROLL TOP ANCHOR. If you’re trying to add it in the header bar then it’s not currently possible. Doable but with custom development or perhaps custom builder element.

i will provide a video when i test it again.
atm i disabled sticky header for mobile. and did activate the scroll top anchor.
thaks for your help.

but one more question:

so the behaviour of the shrinking header is a bug of pro? because i never had that before…

Hi Harald,

There was known and existing issues with Pro shrinking animation and this could be related. But maybe it’s also specific to a setup. And yes, please let me know :slight_smile:
