Strange gap under footer (Pro)

Hi there,

I have searched quite a bit on the forums and looks like others have the same problem quite a few times - a strange white space under the footer.

I have checked all padding, odd things I might have missed etc, even Inspect Element and cannot find a reference to the gap anywhere.

Hi Jayd,

It seems coming from the blue bar on your footer. Once I delete it, it goes away. See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqiwopO5G7 I can’t find the root cause when I tried inspect the element. Would you mind giving credentials inside a secure note so we can check further?

Hi there,

Yes very odd, it disappears when I delete the blue bar.
I am trying to set it to 50px, but it will only remove that strange white area when I set the blue bar to ‘auto’

Do you know why this might be?

Hello Jayd K,

Thanks for providing the information. I have edited your footer and the issue has been resolved. The gap is coming from the excessive “Outer Spacing” value that you have inserted. I have reset it to just 1em and then I added a maximum content length of 1200px.

Please check your site footer now.

Thanks for fixing it, much appreciated!
I have often used outer spacing and didnt know it would cause a conflict with space below.
I now know the correct order to go about doing this, good to know!
