Strange box with "P SEP" appearing in text

My client has reported seeing strange boxes in between their text which says “P SEP”. (1st screenshot)

The problem seems to be when viewing on Chrome. I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue exactly but in Chrome I do see spaces where they are reporting they are seeing the boxes (see 2nd screenshot).

Can you provide any help on how I can remove it?

I’m running PRO 5.1.5.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that content has been copied from any application like MS Word or something else. I would suggest you go through the following article which may help you with this.

Please remember that content related issues are beyond the scope of Theme Support, I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you on this or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve retyped the text manually because it’s such a small paragraph and I still get the odd spaces in Chrome. I’ve also picked up that for some reason cornerstone is stripping the /p tag at the end of the paragraph. I’m not sure if this is causing the issue I’m having.

Here’s the text I’ve added:

After I click save and return back this is what I get where /p has been stripped:

I’m using the normal text box for entering in the text and I don’t have issues with same text box lower down on the page.

Hi Andre,

I have tried to replicate the issue you described for closing p tag in my local enviornment but didn’t find that. If you are using a single paragraph and you have shift into the Rich Text option it will remove the p tag, otherwise it will not remove anything. If only the closing p tag has been removed, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
