Stop Favicon Requests

Hello

I need help, i don’t use a faveicon. But, i see its still pulling the request and slowing my website down by 1.5 seconds! was wondering how to stop this…

Just to let you know that WordPress now has Favicon built into the core. In that regards we have migrated to native WordPress “Site Icon” settings for cleaner brand management.

I just quicky made a favicon and added to root folder and added a header code

<link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”/favicon.ico” type=”image/x-icon” />

You don’t need to add the code to header, please navigate to Customizer > Site Identity:
