Stop fa-900.woff2 requests on mobile devices - cornerstone

I am currently using FA solid, only solid. It is used by desktop in the menu but in mobile I have no need for it. There is one icon where is used in next to login in the menu but I can go without it on mobile devices.

I am not using cornerstone FA to the best of my knowledge aside 1 icon in the menu in mobile devices. Again, this is only for mobile devices.

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we only have one setting where you can disable/disable the font awesome icons in all screen sizes. You can go to X or Pro > Theme Options > Miscellaneous > Font Awesome. You cannot disable the font awesome on smaller screens only.

Thank you for your reply. The problem I have with the FA is that I cannot load from the CDN, it’s causing issues in google new metrics (web vitals). If I disable FA, what can I use for the menu icons instead? In my case, FA is only used in desktop menu. What alternative do I have if I disable FA completely?

Im assuming providing an option to disable FA per device is possible and not complicated. Please add it to the options.

We do not have the option to do what you have in mind. Having to turn OFF the FA icons on mobile devices is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.
