Still export Customizer XCS file when using child theme?

I’m not quite sure where Customizer fits in with a child theme. Does it do any good to export Customizer now that I have a child theme?

How does Customizer relate to a child theme?

Thanks. Really liking my three, soon-to-be-four X installations and need to learn how to administer and back them up effectively. Right now I do and download a complete BackupBuddy backup whenever I finish an edit session. When might I use an XCS to repair a damaged site?

Hey there,

If you’re doing constant changes in the Customizer then it’s good to export your Customizer Settings (XCS file format) so you can restore to revert changes in the Customizer. It only relates to the site styles you can set in the Customizer and will only restore Customizer settings.
