Still caching of old revisions

’ve been using X from day one, and over the years, quality hasn’t really been an issue.

However.

Since August 2021, a random caching issue (Chrome and Firefox) routinely occurs where old revs of pages, headers, footers, etc. replace my most recent changes.

I’m running a minimal plugin configuration on local MAMP. Also, I’ve experienced this in production.

I’ve developed a slew of X websites, I’m very very well versed in your product, having literally touched it ever day for the past many years.

Just happened, killed the morning’s work … and I am too invested in X to consider plan B.

Hello @IareChaz,

Thanks for writing in! The given credentials are not working for us. It seems that the password is incorrect. Please double-check it.

In the meantime, please make sure to clear your plugin caches since you have installed the WP Rocket plugin. You may need to temporarily deactivate the plugin while we are troubleshooting. You might want to check out this documentation:

The issue could also be caused by a plugin amongst other things. Kindly check the most common issues and how to troubleshoot them.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hey @IareChaz,

You have withdrawn your reply. We can assumed that your issue has been resolved already.

Cheers.

I thought I posted the PW in public view, and updated the secued note. The issue is still ongoing.

Hey @IareChaz,

I went ahead and log in to your backend but it is asking for a verification code. That being said, to avoid any back and forth, I suggest that you completely disable the verification process while we are investigating the issue on your website.

Thank you.

I am so super sorry. I thought that was turned down.

2FA has been temporarily disabled.

Hi @IareChaz,

Unfortunately, can’t access your Admin Login page, it seems that there is an IP restriction implemented on your site, we are not able to access your website to examine. As we are from different parts of the World and most of us have a dynamic IP so we can’t provide a specific IP address for whitelisting too.

Alternatively, I would suggest you remove the IP(s) restrictions or you can copy your live site to a staging server without IP restrictions, so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your site.

Thanks

We’ve turned down the firewall.

Hi @IareChaz,

I have checked your website and created a test page into it, but didn’t find the issue with the cache you specified. I have modified the existing page, and the content is reflected immediately. If you are having any specific problem, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

NOTE: It has been also found that the Autoptimize and the WP Rocket plugin is installed. If you are having the issue, please clear the cache and deactivate those plugins and check if that resolves your issue.

Thanks
