Stiky not working

Hi support team. The sticky menu here https://www.ste-anne-de-la-pocatiere have stoped working after a recent update.

The header name is SADLP accueil

I have Pro 6.2.9.

The element name is Menu collant haut

The sticky should display when the part of the header with images reach the top of the screen.

Thanks for the help.

Hi @philippe_bonneau,

Thanks for reaching out.
It is due to the Z Index value set to the Bar. I have increased the default value and it starts working.

Thanks

Hi @tristup. Tank you for the answer. I see the sticky menu bar but the trigger offset value do not work. It seem to display a lot to low and this do not change with any value I use. The bars should display when the landscape image get out of the screen.

I also applied your fix to the second sticky bar named Menu collant principal

Hi @philippe_bonneau,

I have checked it in my local environment and was able to replicate the issue. I suspect this might be a bug in the recent version of Theme. I will add this to our Issue Tracker for further investigation by our development team.

Thanks

Hi @tristup. Is there any news on your side?

Hello @philippe_bonneau,

Regretfully there is no ETA at the moment so I would request you, please stay tuned for succeeding theme updates.

Thanks for understanding

We will have a fix for the trigger selector in 6.3.3 coming out next week. Let us know if the issue persists after the update and have a great weekend!

Hi @charlie. Updating to 6.3.3 does not fix the problem.

Can you let me know which trigger selector you were using before on that page so I can try it out?

Initially have used Trigger offset the same height as the first non-sticky part of the header. This was 1200px. Whatever the value I put in this field, the sticky header display always at the same place, near the 3 logo row at the bottom of the page. The second sticky bar is named «Menu collant principal» and if I put the same value of offset trigger the two bars do not display at all. Now the value of the Menu collant principal bar is set to 1.

Apologies I thought this was a separate issue with sticky bars.

When did you start having this issue? Is this a Pro5 to Pro6 issue? So the trigger needs to happen at exactly 1200px? I’m not sure if this is a Pro5 to Pro6, but whenever you set an offset it’ll also add the height of bar to the trigger offset. So for 1200px I think you are actually looking for 1160 given the height of the bar is 40px.

See my secure note as well.

Hi @charlie. I am not sure if the problem happens in a Pro6 or 5 update but I have noticed the bad behaviour of the sticky bar when the site was on Pro6. This site was originaly built in 2020 and launch public in march 2021. So it was after that.

This is not the right place.See the screen capture.

Okay thanks for the info. I think I see what was happening here now. The ID for your sticky section had a #, that’s just needed for the selectors and IDs in the element can just be a name. I went ahead and changed the trigger selector the “#sticky” as I think that’s what you were using as the sticky trigger. I couldn’t read your caching plugin, but I think you need to purge the cache everywhere to get the change up everywhere. Let me know if this helps!

@charlie So the Trigger Offset do not work but the Trigger Selector does. Thanks for the help. Fixed.
