Sticky Posts are not working on category page

Hi,

I haven’t been able to figure out what I’m doing wrong on the category page https://www.werkvereniging.nl/nieuws/

The ‘Magazine van de Vernieuwing Nummer 1’ post is marked as sticky but, as you can see, is not the first post.

It seems like nobody else is having this issue, as I have searched and searched for a solution. So I need assistance. :slight_smile:

I tested the Sticky post feature and it seems that the post marked as sticky won’t show up on top of the Category page. To see if it’s a theme related issue, I activated default theme and over there also Sticky posts won’t work. In that regards it’s not a X Theme related problem. More so further researching it’s not a feature built into WordPress core.

I suggest you to have sticky post on category page, please take a look at following resources. Please note that the plugin that the tutorial is using hasn’t been updated for quite some time:
