Sticky post showing - box not checked

Im trying to figure out why the stickly post on a article is showing in the header, when the stick to front page box is not checked. Please help if possible.

Thanks for writing in!

Are you referring to the items displayed in the post carousel? Please be advised that the post carousel will display post items that is set as “Featured”, “Most Commented” or “Random”. It does not matter if the post item is sticky or not as long as it is coming from the selected setting, then it displays. You can check this settings in X > Theme Options > Ethos > Post Carousel.
