Sticky nav change from transparent to solid background

Is there a way to have the sticky horizontal header nav start with a transparent background and then go to solid once the navigation starts to stick and goes past a hero image?

I’m looking to do this within the Pro Renew stack. I have a custom header created with a transparent nav bar. I’d like the background of the nav to appear when the user scrolls past a top hero image. help
