Sticky headers covering anchors in some cases

I am running into a problem with sticky headers and anchors. If I go to the anchor from a link on the same page then the anchor is placed right below the sticky (i.e. fixed) header. But if I go to the same anchor from another page or an external link, the anchor gets placed behind the sticky header and part of the text is not visible to the user. See the example in the secure note below.

Hi Misha,

I tested the website with the Chrome browser on Mac computer and it is working correctly. When I click the Incorporate Packages link it scrolls down and the title is just below the header:

COMPANY INCORPORATION PACKAGES

If I paste the link into the Address bar of the browser it does not have the animation feature which is normal as the browser automatically shows the section in question. It takes a second to show the title. But in the end, the end result is the same.

I wonder if you use another browser or device when this happens for you?

Hmm… this is strange. You are right, it takes a moment for it to adjust itself. But after that delay, the anchor seems to be working fine. I think some of the users were confused with the delay.

For example, if you use the following link https://www.corporateservices.com/incorporate-singapore-company/#foreigner-package the page first loads with the anchor behind the header but after a second or so (in some cases longer) the page moves down so that the anchor is below the sticky header.

Is there a way to change this behavior so that there is no delay? Thanks again for the help.

Hello Misha,

Thanks for the updates. Regretfully this delay is not coming from any setting. It is coming from the page size itself. The anchor gets its final position as soon as the page is completely loaded. The longer the page loads, the longer the anchor gets to the final position.

Hope this explain it briefly.
