We have a customer site that requires a State certification number (or license number) to be displayed for customer access. The best place to put that is in a footer.
Unfortunately, on mobile devices, it seems that Apple chooses to look at a random number and say, “This is a telephone number!” On Safari (currently) the site is fine. But on Firefox or Brave, it happily changes the font color to whatever a phone number should be. On this website, it changes it to roughly the same color as the background. This makes the license number invisible to the average visitor.
What is the best way to handle this rather idiotic problem with mobile rendering of numbers on a website?
