Start video and sound

Hi.
I am working on this page: http://jarvendesign.se/tomas50/
I have used the video element “player” and set the display and function to “no control” and “autoplay”. I would like to video to start immediately when visiting the website and it works fine on my computer. But on my iPad and on my phone the video doesn’t start.
I have tried to add controls and if I do and use the start button it works on the iPhone and iPad as well.

But, I would like avoid controls, have autoplay with sound. Is that possible?

If not - I have managed to add the video into slider revolution which also works fine. But when using slider revolution I cannot get any sound. How can I use slider revolution with a video including sound?

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for writing in, there is a browser autoplay policy that does not allow a video with audio to autoplay without a user interaction first (see the details on that link).

That means if you want the video to autoplay, you need to set it to mute. More details here.
