Start slide container on site load

Hi there

Is it possible to start a slide-container already on page load? At the moment, my slide container starts when coming itnto viewport. As I still have the problem, that my slides dip into black at transition in the first loop, I would like to start the slide container when loading the page, so the first loop is over until users scroll to this slider section.

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hey Felix,

The Slider normally slides after the page has fully loaded. Just wondering if you have tested your slider on another server. Would you mind importing the page as a template and sending the template to us? I would live to test it locally or on another server to see how it behaves and whether we will still see the blank dip transition.

Best Regards.

Hi Ruenel

Thank you very much for your reply and for looking into this. As for the dipping into black (or into the background color), I already have found a solution in building the same slider with Slider Revolution plugin instead ob Pro’s slide-container (see section 5 on this page):

On this page in section 11 (the Montana furniture), I have also built a slider without transition in Pro’s slide container:

As you can see, that slider only starts to play, as soon as it comes into viewport. This is normaly ok but as I said, your slide-container always dips into the background color (in this case white), when transit to the next slide. this happens only in the first loop.

It would be great if you could fix this issue in the theme, as this already has worked perfect with older versions of Pro.

How can I send you the section template of the slider? If I try to upload this file the following message appears: Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif).

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Thanks for the very detailed explanation. Please upload the template file using Dropbox or Google Docs so we can download it and test it on our local testing server.

Cheers.

Hello Ruenel

Thank you very much for your reply. In this folder you can find the Section-Template with the slide-container:

…hope that works.

Thank you very much fpr your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

I was able to replicate the issue on my local testing server. I have forwarded this to our developers too for further investigation.

Please bear with us.

Hello Ruenel

Thank you very much for your help and for forwarding this to your developers.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

Kind regards,
Felix

We can add a toggle for this sometime in Pro 6.5. Have a great day.
