Standard/Classic (Flex)Slider Responsiveness

Hi,
Thanks for making X!
While exploring various possibilities with the build-in slider (flex-slider), the latest update came along. After installing the update, I found out that the content of the slider was not responsive anymore (when one drags the browser window smaller for example, the slider and its content used to adjust accordingly).
Since I did a lot of additional css, js and a bit of php on that domain, I tested it on a clean domain with X-pro.

TEST:
On this domain, without the latest X-pro update, I made a new page and inserted a slider within cornerstone, which defaults with 2 slides of 1200-600. When the window is resized, the slider and its content act completely responsive and nicely adjust their size.
I then performed the update and cleared the cache.
Viewing this same page with the latest X-pro version showed that the classic-slider lost its responsiveness. The slides do no longer adjust to a changed screen-size, only when the full page is refreshed. Inserting a new classic-slider has the same results. I tested Chrome, Edge and Firefox at the front-end.

Did anyone encounter this issue as well?
If this is something general, it might be something to put on the to-do list for the next update.
If this seems to be incidental, I have to look further into it myself.

Thanks for your time!
Guido

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

I tried and seems to be okay, maybe there is a javascript error that prevents the responsive function. Please let me know the URL where I can test it.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

Here is where I found out that the classic-slider content was no longer flexible after updating from 1.1.1 to 1.2.3: http://www.recordingroom.nl/wp/en/recordingroom-presents/
This site is entirely under development and I was experimenting a bit with the possibilities of the slider. So, it contains some additional js and such. Therefore, I also tested with a simple default slider on two other sites (each having an own WP database and X-pro installation):

I made a test page on http://imsiter.com/dev/aguidon_com/slidertest/ , which resulted in the same issue after upgrading to 1.2.3. The slider itself is responsive but the content of each slide used to be responsive accordingly while resizing the browser-window, until the update it seems.

I also made a test page on another, yet similar, environment which is still running 1.1.1 at this time http://aguidon.com/slidertest/ . The sample images get larger and smaller, are responsive as the window is being resized, like how it was.

Sorry for the global header/landing page at these test pages, I didn’t make and assign an empty header for this purpose, the test slider is just below it.

Thanks for your time!

I’ll be looking forward to an update (but I also understand that things like this will take time : )

Thank you for your patience.

Rest assured that our developers are looking into this.

l am experiencing this issue as well l think in the preview the slider does not align with the content box to its right, it simply gets smaller. But in the builder It is perfectly responsive please see the attached images? Is this the same issue or something else?

Hello There,

This is an on going issue with the slider in the latest release. Rest assured, our developers is already looking into this.
Once they’ll have it fixed, it will be updated and rolled out in the next update release.
