Hi,

I would like to move my site from http to https. Could you advise or share best resource to do this properly?

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in.

It should be simple but assuming that SSL certificate is already installed and active in your site, then what’s left to do is this

1. Go to Admin > Settings > General and make sure both URLs are configured for https (eg. https://example.com)

2. Then install Better Search Replace plugin and replace all instances of http://example.com/wp-content/ with https://example.com/wp-content/ from all database tables

3. Disable any HTTPS plugin or rewrites in htaccess file, it may trigger redirect issues.

And that’s it

But if you’re looking for SSL installation then you must contact your hosting provider.

How to force loading Google fonts with http to https? Mixed contents shows up because intitally site was in http.

Hi There,

Reset your permalinks, to do this navigate to Settings > Permalinks and just save it without changes.

And clear all your caching plugin/feature (if any)
