SSL not on front page

Hi there,

I have SSL activated on my site, however it is only the home page that is not secure. I have the Really Simple SSL plugin to help and it says “The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage”.

My host service says that some of the code generated by X theme is the cause here - is there anything I can do to fix this?

Incidentally, if I load the site home page by typing in the web address, it is not secure. However if I go to any other page and then back to home - it loads securely…

I can provide the site and login if you need.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for writing to us.

It seems that the URLs are not fully replaced while moving the site from HTTP to HTTPS and that causes the Mixed Content issue [ HTTP and HTTPS ].

I would suggest you replace the URL properly and check this again, there are many URL replacement Plugins available in WordPress which help you to replace the URL.
This article will be helpful in this:https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-update-urls-when-moving-your-wordpress-site/

Also, remember that the exact URL should be mentioned in Setting > General, WordPress Address and Site URL, including the protocol i.e HTTP/HTTPS.

Hope this helps.
Thanks
