Square for WooCommerce Digital Wallets Issue

I’m having an issue with with digital wallets using Square for WooCommerce on product variations. I confirmed this is a theme conflict specifically with Pro as I tested on staging using the Twenty Twenty-One theme and the issue resolved.

Setup:

• WooCommerce(Version 5.1.0 )
• Square for WooCommerce(Version 2.4.0) - Digital Wallets enabled
• Pro(Version 4.2.3)

When a user navigates to a variable product, makes their selections and selects a digital wallet option (e.g. Google Pay) they get the following error: Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart.

If a user does the same action, but clicks the “Add to Cart” button (instead of a digital wallet option) the transaction works as expected. It’s only using the digital wallet options on product pages. Further, users are able to use the digital wallet on the cart and checkout pages without issue.

Thanks for reaching out and for your detailed explanation! I’ll post this conflict in our issue tracker so this will be queued for investigation by our development team. Since this plugin is not part of our bundled plugins, please just note that we cannot guarantee a fix for this issue. I also suggest that you contact the plugin developer which might able to help you fix the issue.

I suspect this might be related to an issue that we’ve already fixed for the next release. There is a javascript error coming from the Product Gallery. It’s possible that this error causes other javascript to fail. Can you try something temporarily? Try deleting the Product Gallery element and saving the layout. If it starts working, you can expect the next release of Pro to resolve this issue. A beta version of that update will be available as early as tomorrow, and the official release is scheduled for early April.

Thank you for your prompt response and suggestion. Unfortunately that did not resolve the matter. Also, the digital wallet checkout does work on pages with the product gallery, just not variable products. I’ll provide login details in a secure note. Thank you.

On a side note, I have been having issues with the Product Gallery Element not displaying properly (or sometimes at all) on smaller screens is that related to the error/fix you mentioned?

I have resolved the issue. To achieve the styling I wanted on small and large screen sizes I used two different Add to Cart Form Elements. I should have known this was the problem.
