Hi I am using three columns but they are getting squished together, how can I define custom spacing for each column. I am using the text editor and not cornerstone.

The spacing between the columns is 4%. Changing the spacing between the columns would mean to change the column widths as well all because the total width should always be 100%. I would recommend that you provide us the url of the page were we can see this columns.
Alternatively, you can have a controlled spacing by enabling the marginless column option in the row settings. Once it is enabled, the column spacing will be set to 0 or no spacing at all. You can then add paddings to each of you columns so that you will be able to reduce or increase the spacing in between columns.
