I’m having some strange issues with MEC bookings. I have four events coming up (one per month) and while the events from July-September work fine, I’m having issues with the event coming up later in June. When you click on the event on the monthly calendar view, the modal that pops up works fine. However, every other view/modal doesn’t work. When you click on the Next button after selecting how many tickets you want, it doesn’t do anything. The page seems to shift a little when clicking the button, but nothing actually happens. I have updated Modern Events calendar to version 5.5, but it doesn’t seem to affect anything. We really need to be able to take bookings right now and so it’s holding everything up for this customer until this issue is resolved.
Hi @promofuse,
Thank you for writing in, first, please clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Then do a Testing for Plugin Conflict.
If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.
Cheers!
I have already done all of those things. I’ll provide the login credentials so you can look into it.
Hey @promofuse,
I checked your Calendar page and I clicked on June events and it opens the page instead of a modal/popup so I believe you switched to the Separate Window open method instead of the Modal.
What you’re experiencing is a bug which currently doesn’t have a solution yet so I’d recommend you use the Separate Window method for now.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
I’m honestly not sure what the issue is. The Separate Window option still didn’t work as intended either. The only reason I changed it to that is because clicking on the “Register” button at the top of the Modal Popup didn’t scroll the window to the bottom for the user to register, which is confusing for the user…and also another bug that needs to be fixed by the developer. That said, I had created an event called “Test Event - DO NOT REGISTER” that was two days before the June event. Once I did that, the June event worked fine because it wasn’t the closest date. However, after that is when I removed the Modal Popup from all instances throughout the site. This morning I deleted the Test Event…and everything seemed to be working as intended. So I don’t know if the Modal Popup just being functional anywhere on the site was messing up the rest of it or if it was just a glitch in the backend. But either way, there’s definitely some code that needs to be cleaned up by the developer that’s not working correctly.
Hello @promofuse,
You are definitely correct. We will just await for any updated from the creator of the plugin.
Thank you for understanding.
Cheers.
