Some issues after updating to 6.1.6

Hi,

We have some issues with several websites after the new update.
For know the most urgent is: https://waardevollewebteksten.nl
(At this moment we have placed the stability release back: 5.2.5)

The problems with the new release 6.1.6 were:

The icons in the Classic widget area all changed in houses in stead of different icons.
The icons are made in the menu like this: Webteksten

Also this page didn’t load anymore (only after refreshing the page): https://waardevollewebteksten.nl/testimonials/

The Bloom optin on page https://waardevollewebteksten.nl/gratis-e-book/ was there but not working properly.
After putting in your e-mail in the bloom form there was no e-mail back to the subscriber and no free e-book.

For now we placed the release 5.2.5 back, but the Bloom optin is gone…
In skeleton mode it is there (the shortcode)
But the icons are back.

Can you help us with our problems?

Hi There,

I could see that the Cornerstone plugin is updated to the latest version.

The version 3.1.6 of Cornerstone isn’t compatible with Xv5.2.5.

Could you please update the X to the latest version as well or create a staging server with the latest version of both?

How are you adding the icons in your menu?

Please make sure that you have replaced data-x-icon accordingly.

eg. For globe icon

Also, the link previously provided is for FontAwesome 3.6.0. With the recent update, X now supports FontAwesome 4.7.0 so you may refer to this link instead:

Hi,

A question remains, maybe you know the answer.
After the update of X Bloom doesn’t send an e-mail conformation to the subscriber anymore.
Is this a known issue after the new update release?

The theme has no connection with any email processing. Would you mind providing more information about the issue? Maybe I can check it on my end.

Hi Rob,

I checked the website and could not find any problem. This seems not to have anything to do with the theme as the Email sending process is a PHP related one which you need to contact the 3rd party plugin developer to follow up.

3rd party plugin conflicts are outside of our support scope and you need to contact the plugin developer for the details.

I suggest that you test the steps below:

  1. Change the theme to default WordPress theme.
  2. Add a test page and use the standard WordPress editor (Not the Cornerstone) to add the shortcode of the plugin and test the case.
  3. Try to use the COrnerstone in a new page and use the Content Area element instead of the Classic Text element to add the shortcode and test the case.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
