I have placed these social icons on my post. Can you tell me how to set these up so persons can share with them. Also the mail icon should bring up an email account, how is that done?
to be clearer I basically need a link so that when a person clicks a twitter , facebook or pinterest social button it shares the post on that social channel. Now i know I can put the posts link in the buttons configuration but that just takes you back to the post. I need a twitter, facebook… window to open up with the post in there ready to share.

The feature you are looking for is not available in the social element of cornerstone.
There is no such feature in the cornerstone element to share the post. You need third-party plugins for that.
You can search for WordPress plugins directory for the same or please check this it might help you.
