I’ve pasted my social URL (Pinterest) into the customizer, but it’s automatically appending my site page’s URL at the beginning, leading to a 404 page on my site.
eg. if I click the Pinterest icon from www.mysite.com/about, the link goes to www.mysite.com/about/www.pinterest.com/mysite.
How can I stop this?

In your social links settings, please add the complete link including https:// like this:
https://www.facebook.com/thepage
