It’s been going on for a while now and I can’t figure out what’s going on. In the icons’ place I get square rectangles.
This is the same whether I am embedding social/social share in Cornerstone or Woocomerce-X Theme.

This issue is because of your Cornerstone version that is not compatible with the current X theme version installed. Please go to the plugins section and deactivate Cornerstone plugin. Once deactivated, delete Cornerstone totally. Go to X > Validation and wait for a few moments while the Cornerstone is automatically installed in the background. You will receive a notice on top once it is installed successfully.
By the way, Please be advised that we have released X 7.0.4 and Cornerstone 4.0.4. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).
After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
