Since Service isn’t an option with the Snippet plugin, is it possible to treat the Product schema as if it were a Service? Would this have any ill effect? Is there any way to add the Service schema to the plugin?

It is not possible to do that unfortunately, it is better not to use the plugin and try to add the code manually using this guide.
Also, there are alternative plugins that might help (I am not sure). I did a Google Search which will help you start your research.

The other plugins I’ve looked into, including Rich Snippets which I paid for, are overly complicated to use. It seems easier to just write the schema yourself than it is to use that plugin. The plugin that comes with Xtheme is very self-explanatory and easy to use but too limited for my purposes. Thanks for the reply anyway.
You’re most welcome! Yes, I personally like it coded too since it will sit there permanently. And more faster than having another plugin loading in your site.
I actually do need help with something. I added the Service as a Product but now that I know that won’t work, I need to delete the Product Schema I added using Snippets. How do I delete a snippet I’ve added using that plugin?
Hi There,
You can navigate back to the Global Settings (X > Snippet) and unset the Default Schema, or you can deactivate the Snippet extension if you’re planning to write the schema manually.
Remember to clear your caching plugins (if any) and browser’s cache after you do the changes.
