Slow loading issue discovered

Hi,

For a long time I’ve experienced slow page load on my contact page. I thougt it was due to my contact form (Forminator), and I couldn’t load the page at all in Cornerstone.

Due to the issue I made a new contact page without the contact form - only with some text, phone (link) and e-mail (link) and my social elements - which are Font Awesome icons (brands) with a link to my social URLs. Again I experienced that I couldn’t load the page in Cornerstone, so I tried to manually remove the column with the social elements, and then the page loaded immediately.

So there’s either a issue with your social element or the brands icon from Font Awesome (I guess it’s the first one).

I can’t give you a link to the page since I’ve removed it, but consider this as info…

I have checked the Social Icon elements in my local environment but didn’t find any issue with it. I would suggest you create a blank page add the Social Icon element and check the page loading speed. If that also shows slowness, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue ** if you have activated it.
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN
