Slidetoggle Overlay on Mobile

I have a custom bit of script I’ve written to slide details of a city over a picture with a button “Destination Details”.

The scripts work without flaw except for on mobile phones - the button slides up and covers the location name when you click to see destination details.

Here is the script that is running the slidetoggle:

   jQuery(document).ready(function($){
	$('#athens.expand').slideToggle(0);
    $('#athens-expand').on('touched click', function(){
       $('#athens.expand').slideToggle( "slow" );
      $('#athens.pic').slideToggle( "slow" );
      
    });
});

What am I missing?
