Slides vs json looper performance

Hi, I have a stacked slider with a lot of slides (about 85). The slides consist of a single image and some notes underneath. You can see it at this link: https://revivalfellowship.nz/slides/the-number-of-his-name/.

At the moment the slides are simply created as separate slides within the stacked slider element. I’m aware I could also use a json looper provider and pull in the images and text from the json file. This might make it easier for editing the notes.

With so many slides, can you tell me which solution would be better for performance? I have other large sets of slides I want to create, and I don’t want to bog down the page speed.

Thanks.

Hello @markwattchow,

Thank you for the inquiry.

The performance difference will be very minimal in favor of the method that does not use the JSON Looper, since it doesn’t require extra functions and can render the slide directly as is. Currently, we have noticed very laggy performance on the page, probably due to the number of images or the amount of content in the slide. We recommend decreasing the number of items in the slider, perhaps limit it to 10 per page and distribute them across different pages if applicable.
