Slider Revolution - will not display new sliders

Slider Revolution stopped working correctly on my site. I’ve tried duplicating an existing slider, making some changes to it and then selecting it from the page options to load above the masthead.

When I select a new slider that I’ve created (new or duplicating), nothing displays. When I modify the existing slider that is already in place, the edits work.

I can provide you with a login to my staging site if you want to see for yourself. I have the latest versions of WP, X Theme and 6.2.2 of Slider Revolution.

Hello @VMStudios,

Thanks for posting in! I have checked your site and the slider seems to be working fine.

Am I checking the correct site? By the way, I noticed that you are using an older version of the theme (X 7.0.4 and Cornerstone 4.0.4). Please be advised that we have released X 7.2.3 and Cornerstone 4.2.3. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Best Regards.

No. That’s my company’s site. I’m working on one of my client’s sites who also use the X Theme - redemptionchapel.com. The current full page video slider is working fine on the site, but if I try to create a new one and assign it to the “above masthead” section it doesn’t work.

Hello @VMStudios,

Assigning a new slider in your Above Masthead settings should display the new slider as expected. Unless otherwise if you have installed some caching plugin. You may need to clear the plugin cache first before testing the site. To better assist you with your issue, kindly provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Regards.

I added a secure note to my previous reply with the information you need.

Hi @VMStudios,

The error is on your custom function

Sliders have different IDs, so when you change the slider, that ID selector (#rev_slider_2_1_wrapper) on your code becomes invalid and causing an error.

Please be reminded that we can not provide support for 3rd party plugins and scripts, it would be ultimately your responsibility to take it from here.

Thanks,
