Slider Revolution: White-Screen between slides after update

Hey,

i just updated the revslider plugin. Unfortunately it caused the slider to show a white screen between each slide. Check yourself: www.kewecom.de/oldhome

I saw others here having this problem too, but lots of different conflicts. Tried some tweaks, but none worked…

Please help

Thank you
Steven

Edit 1: I deactivated the W3 Total Cache Plugin, and it works again  Do you have any idea which caching setting is causing it?

Hello @kewecom,

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. Caching plugins usually cache your site and if you do not clear your plugin caches, the old cached version will still be displayed and not the newly updated version of the site.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

Regards.

Thanks. I always clear caches after updating and I use Chrome Incognito Tabs for making sure I have no browser caches left. I played along with the W3 Total Cache setting. I figured out, that “Lazy Loading” was causing the slider images show as white-screen. Can you suggest how to exclude those slider images from Lazy Loading?

Hello @kewecom,

Lazy Load is not a feature in the theme. You may have it enabled from on of the installed plugins. If you are using WP Rocket, perhaps this article might help:

FYI: Solved the problem by adding the img to Performance>User Experience>Exclude words:
This causes the image to be excluded from the lazy load

We’re glad that you’ve resolved the issue, @kewecom.
