Slider Revolution Video Queality

Hello,

I’ve had the slider revolution for 11 months now, and two week ago, the video quality worsened. I don’t know why this happened, however the first few seconds my video play, the video quality is really bad. I have an embedded vimeo video, and have never had problems with it before now.

If you then reload my website, the first few seconds of the video suddenly goes back to normal quality.

So basically:
The first time potential clients go on to my website, they see the first few seconds of the video which is bad quality. If you then reload the site, the quality in the beginning matches the one after a few seconds.

My vimeo video is: https://vimeo.com/416606318

My website url is: webolir.com

I hope you guys know this one, and that my problem makes sense!

Thanks in advance.

Hello Oscar,

Thanks for writing in! Your video is 720p only. Even then, the plugin still needs to buffer the video by playing a low quality first and then the clear version. It is best that you enable the loader feature in your slider so that the slider’s resources will be loaded first before the slider will autoplay. Kindly check out this documentation for more information:

Best Regards.

Thanks for your reply! I have added a spinner, however it doesn’t do anything. It just loads like in the picture below.

Is there anything you can do to make it first play after the content has been fully loaded like it did 1 week ago without any problems?

Hi Oscar,

There is the only way you can delayed the loading by using the spinner or loader, which you have already used. Still I would suggest you to check the global settings of the Slider Revolution where you can force the script to load the footer. Please find the following article on this:

specially check the Point No. 5 Insert Scripts in Footer option.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

It doesn’t work…

The spinner does nothing.

Hi Oscar,

I have checked and found the Global Setting is not enabled to load the script forcefully to the footer so it starts playing the video after completing the page load. I would suggest you enable it once and check and let us know if that didn’t work for you.

Thanks
