Slider Revolution Video previews with no sound

I disabled Mute at Start and still no sound

Hi @jpandino,

First, please make sure that you are using updated theme and plugins..

If everything are updated already, it’s good to do a basic troubleshooting too. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If after those steps and the issue still persists, we need to check your slider setup. I can see you have many licenses. To help you better, please share your site URL and credentials inside a secure note.

Hi, the theme and all the plugins are on the latest update.

Hi @jpandino,

Thank you for writing in, I see that you added the video as a background and background-videos autoplay. Regretfully major browsers do automatically mute autoplaying video. Read more about that here.

You need to add your video as a Video Layer if you want it to have audio, then use the layer action to add an unmute/mute button to your slide.

Setup custom controls to Play, Pause, Mute and Unmute Video or Audio.

Cheers!

I have it as a Video Layer and still did not work. I specify the actions to Unmute at Start and don’t provide the expected results.

I hav the same issue her. Need help

best regards Iben

Hi Guys,

It seems the any autoplay setup is now muted, to overcome this, please turned off the autoplay option.

Then manually apply autoplay by adding autoplay=1 under Arguments option

Should be like this hd=1&wmode=opaque&showinfo=0&rel=0&autoplay=1;

This should work since the autoplay not triggered by Youtube API, but by the embedded iframe.

Thanks!

This works, thank you so much!

We are happy to help,

Cheers!

I notice this works for PC (Desktop Web browser version) however for Mobile, it doesn’t work. Any ideas why the autoplay is disabled on the Mobile web browser and if you click play the video cuts short.

Hello @jpandino,

By default, the video will not autoplay on mobile devices. The videos will eat up bandwidth and data which is not good for users which is why the video does not play automatically. You will need user interaction in order to play the videos on mobile devices.

Hope this helps.
