Slider Revolution video glitch

Hi! We have setup a top plate on one of our pages with a Slider Revolution element. Inside the slider, we are calling an html5 video. Everything works great when the page loads, and the video is only 4 seconds long and does not loop. Where the problem lies is that (it appears to be on Safari/Mac only), after the video finishes playing, if I leave the browser tab and go to another tab, then go back to the tab with the video, it has jumped to what appears to be the first frame of the video, rather than the last frame which was showing when I left the tab. I hope that makes sense!!

Do you have any ideas why that behavior might be happening on Safari?

Thank you so much for any guidance!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

I am using Safari in Mac and I could not replicate the issue.

What version of Safari are you using? Please make sure that you are using the latest Safari browser.

Regards.

Thank you, RueNel! I appreciate your providing the screen shots. It’s probably easiest to see the jump on the https://prnt.sc/kj5k77 screen shot. I had made the video a little wider which seemed to help with the jumping, but it is still there. If you look at the page again and watch how much blue there is in the upper left corner of the photo, then go to another tab and come back, you’ll see that there is less blue. Again, this only seems to happen in Safari.

I just noticed too on your screenshots, that it appears the overflow is not working on Safari. Yeesh! Another thing for me to figure out!

Thank you again for any guidance!

Hi @jquinn33,

You mean the full-screen feature of the video? Like from here

Please try turning that off and test it again. Though, I recommend providing a video recording of what you’re really seeing so we could try it exactly as it behave.

Thanks!

Thank you, Rad! We were actually adding the videos into the “Main Background” area since we only had one slide per plate. I did try adding the video as a layer however and unfortunately we’re getting the same result. I can’t send a video of the behavior as the site is under development, but if you go to the contact page at one of our other sites at http://www.ashleighhackett.com/contact/, you’ll see the same behavior in Safari/Mac (we have the current version of both Safari and High Sierra). To see the behavior I’m referring to, wait for the video in the top plate to fully load (note how much of the girl’s left-facing shoulder is showing), then switch to a different tab, then switch back and you’ll see that now the video has jumped to show less of her shoulder.

Thank you again for taking a look!! I’ve been working tirelessly to try to figure this out!

Hello There,

I have checked the contact page and this time, I can confirm that the issue exist. It is evident seeing the shoulders of the girl moved as you switch between tabs of the browser. I am not sure this is from the browser itself or from the slider revolution. We will investigate further.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you so much, RueNel!

You are most welcome.
