Slider Revolution on the Home Page

I need to remove the Slider Revolution from my home page, however on the edit page, WordPress is saying one isn’t activated.

Tried deleting the slider but it comes up an error above the mast head.

I think our designer might have coded it in but I can’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find it to remove it?

It’s slowing our site down quite a lot.

Thanks

C

Hi @slowbear,

It can be added via Page Settings > Above Masthead.
If it is not there, please check your child theme’s functions.php. It might be custom coded on that file.
If not on functions.php, please check the page template assigned on your homepage. Then find the on the root cause of your child theme. Open the file and check there too.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lely

Above Masthead is deactivated. There’s nothing in the theme functions, and I’ve checked the page template and there’s nothing in there either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi @slowbear,

It might be cache. In case you do have caching, please clear cache either from a plugin or on your server. If not, please share site URL and credentials inside a secure note so we can check further. If you think FTP credentials will help, please add it too. Thank you.

Thanks Lely, I’ve added credentials to this post.

Any help would be great.

Hi @slowbear,

I tried to check the admin area of the site but I cannot find where the slider is added from. Perhaps it was added from the child theme.

Kindly provide us with the FTP access to the site so that we can check it as well.

Thank you.
