Slider Revolution not working in Firefox only (enabling browser element inspector causes the slider to appear)

Hello,

I’m having an issues with Pro theme and Slider Revolution where an inline carousel slider that’s embedded in a modal pop-up loads in Chrome and Safari but not in Firefox. What’s odd is that enabled or disabled the element inspector causes the slider to appear, but after refreshing the page the issue returns. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Isolated jQuery conflicts and removing from website
  • Enabled jQuery no conflict mode in Slider Revolution settings
  • Enabled “insert jQuery in body” setting in Slider Revolution settings
  • Enabled/disabled global lazy loading in Slider Revolution settings

Unfortunately the issue persists. Any ideas as to what would be causing this behavior?

Thanks,
B

Hey B,

This happens because the slider needs the size of its container to be able to calculate its own size and the positioning of layers within it. If you insert it in a modal, there is no initial size for the slider. That is why it is not recommended to insert the slider in a modal, tab, accordion, or any initially hidden interface. Some browsers might tolerate this like Firefox on Windows but not Firefox on Mac.

Regretfully, since this is not a theme issue, you will need to consult with a developer to come up with a custom solution for your case.

Thank you for understanding.
