Slider Revolution not resizing properly when screens returned to initial state

On first load, we have the slider pretty well locked in to show up well on different devices.
However, when one goes ie from landscape to portrait and back, or on desktop I resize my screen to larger and then smaller, upon return to the initial state the slider completely shrinks or otherwise misbehaves.
When the page is reloaded, the slider looks as it should again.

Not finding any settings to address this.
Thanks in advance

Hi Jenny,

There’s a javascript error
You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the Slider Revolution files js inclusion.
To fix this, you can:

  1. Set ‘Module General Options > jQuery & OutPut Filters > Put JS to Body’ to on
  2. Find the double jQuery.js inclusion and remove it.

Please try the suggestion and check again after.

I think I found it that in the “advanced settings” of an individual slider - but since this affects all sliders on all of our pages, is there a way to do this globally?

Will the “defer javascript loading” option in the global settings fix this?

I tried solution #1 that you suggested, cleared all the caches, and it didn’t resolve the issue. The other jQuery.js inclusion is necessary for a different site function and can’t be removed. What should we do. Thank you.

Actually the only other javascript we have running globally just pertains to the header logo resizing and doesn’t call the library within the code itself.

Hi Jenny,

Try adding your Slider on a new page with no content but the slider, use the No Container | No Header, No Footer page template if that resolves the issue you’ll that its something on the content that is causing it.

If that did not resolve the issue please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi, the plugins on the site etc. have all been the same since development, when the slider was working. It’s only very recently (ie within the last few weeks since the latest update) that the issue arose. Also, the site is live so we can’t really deactivate all the plugins. I’ll try what you suggest in terms of a new page with no containers, but it’s not like there’s some recently added plugin that would have caused this. There have only been routine theme and plugin updates.

Hi Jenny,

In that case, I know you said you already clear your caches, but would you mind clearing ALL your caching and minifier features (plugins and/or server-side) again and then deactivate it for a while and see if that resolves the issue.

If not, please duplicate the site on a staging server and provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,
