Slider Revolution Loading Only Background/Not working on Chrome?

Hello!

I am using the slider revolution plugin and the x theme. At first, everything was working properly, but now one of my sliders won’t show up correctly? The first 3 sliders show up fine, but for some reason, the fourth shows up as a gray square.

I am working off of the Nice and Clean Template pack, having trouble with the Highlights template. I have discovered that even the original, unedited template, loads as a blank gray square.

After looking extensively as to why, I’ve found that for some reason the slider is revealing only the background color decided in the ___ setting, instead of the actual slider.

If you preview the slider, it shows up correctly. If I use my phone it is showing up correctly. It is only from my chrome browser it is having this issue (though I’m unsure about other browsers).

How can I fix this? My site is Hippieonholiday.com, it is the homepage I’m working on, and the large blank area with a photo of the van towards the bottom of the page is where the slider is supposed to be. I have the background currently set to transparent as I was hoping that would allow the text etc. to show.

Help!? Thanks.

Hey Cassidy,

I see errors in the console coming from 3rd party plugins so the first thing I’ll suggest is you try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If that doesn’t help, we need to ensure that there are no other external factors that could cause the issue such as optimizations by plugins such as Asset Cleanup, W3 Total Cache, etc… Please do all or check your site using our troubleshooting procedures here: https://theme.co/docs/common-issues

If none of that helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so that we can investigate without the risk of accidentally breaking your site and changing options. Once set up, provide the following info in a Secure Note.

  • Staging WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.
