Hi Support Team,
My Slider Revolution won’t autoplay, won’t remove controls, nor will the links work (they keep reloading to the home screen).

Hello There,
Thanks for updating in! By default videos will not play automatically. In Revolution slider when you set a Youtube video, you will have to add the autoplay parameter in the Arguments field.
For more details about how you can add a Youtube as background video, please check out this documentation:
https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/main-background/?tab=youtube#youtube-sourcesettings
I would like to check your website but the username/password is incorrect.
Could you please double check?
Thank you.
Thanks for your response.
However, I have tried that and I’m aware of that article but it doesn’t seem to work for me.
I have updated the secure note, so you have access to check/confirm.
Thanks again,
Hi @Createdbyjg,
It could be related to this https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/22/17150870/google-chrome-autoplay-videos-sound-mute-update and confirmed that your video has sound. Instead of adding it as a video element, please add it as a video background, and background videos are mostly muted with autoplay, plus no video controls.
But I went ahead and muted your video element and it’s now auto-playing
Thanks!
Thank you.
Can you help me figure out why the links won’t work in the slider as well?
Hi @Createdbyjg,
Please add your button and other layers in static/global layers.
Or simply add your video as a background instead of the video layer. Your buttons are being covered by invisible layers and the video as well.
Thanks!
Hi There,
I’m not sure why the z-index
of video background is higher than the buttons.
Please add the x-index
class to the layer of your buttons:
After that add this custom CSS to your slider settings:
.x-index {
z-index: 999 !important;
}
Hope it helps
Thanks for the reply.
However I made some changes to the slider prior to your message, and now I am left with the buttons working but my background video not rendering.
Can you provide and article or help me with getting my MPEG4 video to play in the slider?

Thanks again!
Hello @Createdbyjg,
Thanks for updating the thread.
Please add a Video Layer and then click on HTML 5 radio button. After that in second row insert the Video URL or select the video from media library.
Thanks.
