Slider Revolution - Hiding Video Controls

Whats the best way to implement video via slider revolution? When I added it by vimeo I see video controls on a smartphone. I’m not able to save the vimeo settings in a free account to hide that way. Is there any CSS you would recommend or would youtube not show the controls if added that way?

In regard to controls I was referring to the loader and buttons as seen on the screenshot.

Thank You

Hello Bryce,

Thanks for writing in! If you want to have a video in your slider and make sure that it will not have any video controls, you can use the video as a slide background. Kindly check out this documentation to know more about how you can insert the video as a background video.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. In the past this was how I would setup the video via slider revolution.

I believe this is only possible now by HTML5, vimeo and you tube though. The MPEG option is now removed thats listed in the documentation from your link. if you try to add the direct URL ad an external image it won’t display. I’m currently using vimeo but don’t want the video controls shown.

Hello Bryce,

If you insert a video as a layer in your slide, the controls will be displayed. Inserting the video as a background image will eliminate the video controls and automatically mute the audio of the video. This is how it works even in the older versions. And by the way, the MPEG field option was not removed. You must select HTML5 video first both from the background video in the Slide Options or in the Media Content of the Layer options when you insert a video layer.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.
