Slider Revolution doesn't work in Tablet view

Hi

I use the Slider Revolution for a few showcases on my websites- eddiegamble.co.uk & thethreehorseshoesgraveley.co.uk.

Since the updated version (6.1.1) It works fine on a desktop and Mobile phone but doesn’t show at all on iPad.

It uses IOS 9.3.5 I think but can’t get how something works and then it doesn’t.

Can you advise?

Eddie

Hello Eddie,

Thanks for posting in! Since you have installed a caching plugin WP Total Cache, please clear your plugin cache and regenerate the minified JS/CSS files before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately.

And on your iPad, please clear your browser cache too. You may use Safari or Chrome, browser cache must be cleared before testing your site again. It would even better if you will use private browsing mode (incognito mode) in testing your site.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hey

I already tried clearing cache and browser cache and still the same problem.

After doing some research, the version installed for Slider Revolution is 6.1.1. The updated available version 6.1.2 listed amongst it many fixes- compatibility issues for IOS users v9x newer, which explain why it wouldn’t show up on my iPad 3.

You could get the updates automatically in x theme, however when I try to update it, it’s pressing me to get an activation code so I can update it when I thought it was part of the x theme bundle package!

Hi Eddie,

We understand the issue, but the latest version of Revolution Slider that we are supporting is still 6.1.1. Since the Revolution Slider you have is a bundled with the X, we provide the updates for these extensions rather than from the plugin developers automatic updater.

We always try and upgrade as soon as possible when a new plugin release is made to ensure our customers are using the latest version. This isn’t always possible for example if we submit an update to Envato and our update is in review while a new plugin version comes out, that version would have to wait for our next update.

If a plugin includes any major fixes, for example, a security issue, or a plugin breaking bug that prevents all functionality we update right away.

If a plugin update just includes minor bug fixes or improvements, then generally we wait to bundle that version until our planned update is ready to come out.

I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

Thank you for understanding,

Hey

Thanks for your response. If you could (if necessary) update me what the developers have had to say on the matter, that would be appreciated.

I have also seen that their is going to be an updated version of the X Theme (quoted 19-23rd Sept). Do you know when that will be ready?

Hello Eddie,

Once a bug is fixed, you should be able to see the information from our changelog:

https://theme.co/changelog/

The update should be released soon when all the beta testing if finished. We will be posting the update release under the news section of Apex so please stay tuned.

Thank you.

This has now been sorted, Thanks.

You are most welcome!
