My Slider Revolution disappeared when updating my wordpress site and plugins? when trying to reinstall it , it say error , file already exists, i don’t want to delete the old one as i spent some time editing it. Any suggestions please?
Hi Michael,
Sorry to hear that, could be a file on your Slider Revolution is corrupted on the updating process. You need to reinstall the Slider Revolution.
To do this, first login to your server via FTP or from cPanel’s File Manager, then navigate to this directory \wp-content\plugins locate the folder revslider and delete it. Then navigate back to your admin dashboard, under X > Validation > Extensions reinstall the Slider Revolution, don’t worry if you do it this way, you should retain your sliders.
Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. You might need to do this before and after the reinstallation of Slider Revolution, since you mentioned above that you updated the plugins and Wordpress and I see that you’re using LiteSpeed Cache
Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
