Slider Revolution - Can't Embed Video

Hi,

I added a video layer to a slider and when I enter the YouTube id I want to use it gives me the following error:

“YOUTUBE: NO THUMBNAIL IMAGE SET ON VIDEO / VIDEO NOT FOUND / NO VALID VIDEO ID”

I can add certain other ids and it works.

Are there certain settings in YouTube that would prevent me from using a certain video in Slider Revolution?

Thank you.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

If the video is private, you might not be able to display it in the slider.
Please check out this documentation:

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I should have mentioned that it’s not private. I’ll check the documentation. Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

Hello There,

Could you please share the youtube ID or the youtube video so that we can test it also in our local testing server?

Thanks.

Thanks for checking.

Hello There,

It is working from our end.

I used the video as a slide background video:

When I added as a video layer, I can confirm that it says YOUTUBE: NO THUMBNAIL IMAGE SET ON VIDEO / VIDEO NOT FOUND / NO VALID VIDEO ID. This is because of the youtube ID which starts with a -. Please re upload the video and make sure that there will be no dashes in the youtube ID.

Hope this helps.

That’s interesting. Ok. I’ll give it a try.

Yes, it worked as a slide background for me too.

Thanks.

Hey There,

I have run another test with other youtube videos and it has resulted the same. This could be a bug in the latest release of the plugin. I will be reporting this to the creators of the plugin to make them aware of this issue.

Thank you for your understanding.

On a related note, I’m having trouble having these videos come in at a higher resolution. Do you have any suggestions with the id I gave you above? I was trying to load it as a video layer instead of a slide background to see if that would help.

Hi There,

Please add hd=1 to your Youtube video arguments.

Cheers!

That’s already there but it’s not working. Thanks. Any other ideas?

Hi @tektonministries,

Please try adding vq=hd720 too, example,

hd=1&vq=hd720&wmode=opaque&showinfo=0&rel=0

Or vq=hd1080

Hope this helps.

I tried those too. Thanks.

Hi There,

It seems you’ve remove or marked that video as private.

What’s the resolution of that video? It should be 1280x720 at least.

Regards!

The resolution for the one I’m testing is 1920x600. It’s id is 9YDEpVnXQsI. That’s also the size of the Desktop Layer Grid Size.

Hi There,

The video is stretch because it’s too short for its height, even though that is a high-quality video it still has the wrong aspect ratio (1920x600)

Please re-render and re-upload that video with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Thanks,
