Slider revolution button links still using old temporary URL

Hi, I have a clients website > https://popgardens.co.uk/ and the home page is using Slider Revolution
the button on each slide is going to the old temporary cloudways dev URL and I can’t get it to point at the current domain.

Can you offer advice please,

I have tried amending the button link, duplicating the slider, creating a new button, deactivating and even deleting slider revolution (and then reinstalling)… cleared cache, even deactivated WPRocket. no Varnish cache on the server…

Pulling my hair out at the moment and would really appreciate some help

Best wishes

Scot

Hi Scot,

Thank you for writing in, the possibilities could be a caching or maybe you have a custom JS somewhere that change the href URL of those buttons.

Please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Cheers!

Details below as requested

Hello Scot,

Thanks for providing the information. After further investigation, I found out that it is caused by the Lazy Loading feature in the slider.

I went ahead and set it to No Lazy Loading. I’ve saved the changes and your slider images is displaying now.

Kindly check your site again.

Hi,

Thanks for looking at this, but the problem still exists

Just to clarify the problem was not ‘slider images displaying’ but that the button link on each slider goes to an old URL, and after the changes you have made… the problem has not gone away.

It maybe a locally cached issue for me, but I have tried it on Chrome incognito and also Safari browser…

Clicking the button links on the slider go to a temporary Cloudways server instead of another page on the same domain

Please can you look again

Best wishes

Scot

Hello Scot,

The slide and button links in each of your slides have been manually inserted. When you apply the staging URL to the live site or when you migrate your site, you will need to manually update the links as well. To resolve this, please do the following:

1.) Please edit your slider and check your button actions.

2.) In your slide options, you have turned ON the slide link and you have inserted the old URL. These were applied to all 3 slides:

Remove the slide links instead and use only the button links.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thanks for that…

I was looking for the URL on the button, not on the overall slide. Very strange place for the link

That fixed the problem! Thank you for your help

You’re welcome Scot!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
