Slider Revolution and X PRO Update Problem

Hi, I updated X Pro and then the Slider Revolution width doesn’t adjust to the browser width anymore. Besides, there is a white gap now on the right of the Slider. This happens when the right Menubar is jumping suddenly to the right. And when narrowing down the Browser Window, the Slider doesn’t resize responsively, as before updating X Pro. Before update, everything was okay.

Please help, must be an issue of the Update of X Pro, because I updated Slider Rev (and everything was okay) before Updating X Pro.

Thanks

Patric

Hi Patric,

Thank you for writing in, please do the following:

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)
  • Clear all the site caches ( plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache ) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.
  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi Friech

Many thanks for answering. Everything is always up-to-date like since the beginning 8 Years ago. I also cleared all caches, and I don’t have a CDN. I turned the caching feature off. I turned 2 Factor Authentication off. It is strange, as you can see on the attached screenshot, there is a certain gap overlapping on the right of the content/left of the Menu which is exactly the gap the menu is jumping to the right when going on the website and loading the slider. actually there is that approx. 25 Px Gap on every Row and Module all over the site. That wasn’t there before the update, everything was next to each other and aligned.

Are the Classic Rows still okay or is it that we all have to use the new Row Module? If yes, do I have to rebuilt my whole Website?

Attention: Also the Footer (made with the Builder) ist totally strange looking (too big) on mobiles and Tablets. This is also since the update.
-> Supplement: I could solve the strange size of the footer on Mobiles. Pro has a new Feature Settings, I found in the Bar the «content settings» which I set to «global container» for the mobile view.

Please help me out concerning the header/Slider view, because all started when updating from Pro 5.0.7 to 5.0.8.

Thanks
Regards, Patric

Hello Patric,

I tried to access your dashboard but there is still 2 Factor Authentication ON, I would suggest you please turn OFF the 2 Factor Authentication plugin so that we can investigate your settings.

Thanks

okay, sorry, it’s now OFF.

Hello @Brainfire,

We have logged in and checked your site. We are seeing some JS errors in the console of the page. This is an error that may have caused the issue:

WP-Optimize Minify: An error has occurred in the minified code.

- Original script: https://www.brainfire.ch/wp-content/plugins/essential-addons-cs/assets/js/eacs-scripts.js
- Error message: $(...).countdown is not a function
(anonymous) @ wpo-minify-footer-es…-script-js.min.js:6
(index):1597 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'ontouch')
   at (index):1597

The error seems to have come from your 3rd party plugin, Essential Addons for Cornerstone & Pro. You may need to contact the creators of the plugin. They may not be aware that there is the latest release of the X and Pro theme which is why they also need to update their plugin.

Your cache has been cleared since you have installed the WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache plugin. After that, when we check the site on private browsing mode, we are seeing no space on the right side of the slider. These are what we are seeing:

With regards to this one:

This happens because you have resized the browser. Be advised that the slider needs to initialize to determine the width and height of the browser and then render the slides to display fullscreen. In the actual testing, you should reload the page after resizing your browser so that the slider can initialize and detect the new browser widths.

Hope this helps.

Okay thank you a lot! Since there might be an effort for 2 things to go well (slider producer needs to change their code and Essential AddOns needs to change their codes), is there the PRO version 5.0.7 to download and reinstall, because before the update everything was okay (and by that I mean also the resizing of the slider, without reloading the page!) ?
Regards, Patric Simon

Hey Patric,

Regretfully, the previous version available for download is Pro 4.3.3 so if you need 5.0.7, you need to revert from a website backup assuming you have this. If not, please copy your live site to a staging server so we can deactivate everything to test Pro and Slider Revolution. We can’t investigate your live site to avoid breaking your setup.

Thanks.

Hi Christian, many thanks for your Reply. I deactevated Essential Addons Plugin, cleared all Caches (Plugin, Browser, Server) and checked site. It’s all still the same gap, but now I encountered also a bug in the Submenu when looking in a big browserwindow: the underlying white background is only the size of a Pill and you don’t see the Menupoints anymore. Also is the submenu too low so you cannot click the last 3 Menupoints… And also when I open the Website in a private window, the gap is there. Somehow it is getting worse and worse and I don’t know what I should do… Can you help me and tell what I should do to show everything like before, please?

Thanks
Patric

Hey Patric,

Please copy your live site to a staging server as mentioned previously so we could investigate or perform tests freely without breaking your live site. If it’s ok that we do that on your live site, please confirm.

Thanks.
