Slider Revolution: Add sliders from template

Hi there,

When trying to add sliders from template (from slider revolution), I get an error message telling me to add my activation code. Are only the free sliders included with Slider Revolution plugin from Theme X?

Yes you are right, only free sliders are available in the plugins bundled with X theme. If you want extra template please buy it from Revolution slider author.

Even the free templates are asking for a purchase code. Please let me know how I can use the free templates

You can download demo Revolution Sliders here, and then import that to your site manually.

This link you gave me did not help. It’s requiring that I buy a license. I purchased the X-theme and Rev slider comes with it. Shouldn’t I be able to use the free templates? This is what comes up when I click the link you sent. No option to download free templates. I have never had this issue with previous versions of the X theme…the free templates were readily available without an extra step.

Hi there,

You can only installed the installable samples. Revslide is bundled with the theme as free but the plugin author may require a dedicated license from them for some templates and we have no control over them. What template you’re installing?

I am using the X Theme with the Gym expanded demo. Do you know which stack I am supposed to use for that one? The slider that came with the demo is “not found”. That is why I was trying to use a different revolution slider template, but I am fine using the demo one if it would work.

The missing slider usually happens when you imported the demo and the Rev Slider is not active yet. You may download the demo sliders from here instead: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4hk8ptker54t21a/AAAZvM6V9wkVyKqYH2HJ94zPa?dl=0

You download the .zip file of the demo slider that you need and import it to your Rev Slider panel. To know how you can import the slider, please check out this documentation: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/import-export-replace/

OK, I was able to import the slider - thank you. However now the first slider does not progress to the next slide. and when I click the preview button I get this message:

Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

The slider only progresses to the next one if I scroll down a little. Also, it is behaving like a parallax section which I don’t want. I checked the parallex setting and it is disabled so not sure why it is doing this.

Hi there,

The mod_security issue is not related to the theme and the plugin you need to contact your hosting service provider and ask them to exclude whatever the error message says.

The second point needs more investigation. Please kindly open up a separate thread and give us the URL/User/Pass of your website dashboard using the Secure Note to follow up the case.

Please do not add the Secure Note here as it’s visible to the original poster of the thread.
