Slider Config

Hello,

After running an update on my site (which has been idle for a while) I am no longer able to access the Slider Revolution configuration from the Dashboard, to edit slider text.

I just see the product page for Revolution Slider asking me to register.

Please advise.

I have removed the plugin and reinstalled the version offered through the Pro setup page and the issue persists. My old sliders are visible on my site but do not show up as modules that I can edit in the Revolution Slider plugin menu.

Inspecting the live site, I see “x-flexslider” and “x-slide” in the page code. Is that a different slider module bundled with the theme, and if so where should I be looking to configure it within Pro? When viewing the page within the “Content” editor I see “Classic Slider” elements but nowhere to change their text.

Figured it out – these were indeed instances of flexslider, not revolution, and I needed to drill down further in the Content editor to find the edit link for the slider text (by expanding the slider element dropdown & clicking the inspect icon for the slide itself).

Hey Dee,

Thanks for writing in! Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

It is good to know that you have figured out what the issue is all about. If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to open another thread.

Best Regards.
